Rein in government spending and invest in growth

Talking point: Our state budget grew 38% in two years while our population barely grew at all. 
That's not sustainable, and Minnesotans are the ones who'll pay for it - either in higher taxes now 
or a bigger deficit later.

Balance economic growth with environmental and workforce concerns

Talking point: Minnesotans don't want to choose between good jobs and clean lakes - and they 
shouldn't have to. Smart, predictable permitting gets projects built without cutting corners on our 
environment.

Foster R&D and innovation investment

Talking point: Minnesota built its economy on innovation - from medical devices to agriculture. I
want to keep that R&D investment, and the jobs that come with it, here at home.

Cultural reset- refocus on the basics and protect taxpayers

Talking point: Government works best when it does a few things well. I want St. Paul focused on the
basics - safe communities, good roads, strong schools - and accountable for delivering them.

Fraud prevention and prosecution

Talking point: Every dollar stolen by a fraud scheme is a dollar taken from a kid who needed a meal
or a family that needed housing help. We need real oversight, not just outrage after the fact.

Social program integrity and invest in systems modernization

Talking point: Modernizing these systems isn't about cutting help to people who need it-  it's 
about making sure the help actually gets there, on time, without being skimmed off the top.
