Kevin Peterson for Minnesota Senate District 42

Business-Minded Leadership.
Accountable Government.

Kevin Peterson

It’s your money. Let’s start treating it that way.

As a Plymouth business owner, I’ve spent my career making responsible financial decisions, creating jobs, and delivering results. In St. Paul, taxpayers deserve that same discipline. I’m running for State Senate to bring accountability, transparency, and common-sense financial management back to government.

Core Pillars

A common-sense approach to governance in Minnesota, focused on efficiency and transparency.

Fiscal Responsibility

Government should live within its means. I’ll fight to eliminate waste and prioritize what matters most.

Protect Taxpayers

No more blank checks. I’ll stand up for Plymouth families and oppose unnecessary tax increases.

Real Results

Less talk. More action. I’ll focus on measurable outcomes, not political agendas.

Meet Kevin Peterson

Kevin isn't a career politician. He's a family man and a local business leader who has spent two decades managing complex budgets and delivering efficiency in the private sector.

He believes that government should be run with the same accountability as a successful business. Kevin and his wife have called this district home for years, and he's ready to bring common-sense solutions to the Minnesota Senate.

Legislative Priorities

  • Counter all Omnibus Legislation created during the DFL Trifecta.

  • Promote stronger agency oversight, accountability, and transparency provisions.

  • Rationalize tax policies and spending to ensure MN is competitive nationally.

  • Advocate for public safety policies.

  • Common sense energy policies.

Goal of My Campaign

  • Win...Plymouth is a purple district that deserves balanced representation.

  • Bring attention to the challenges our state faces due to financial mismanagement and a noncompetitive tax policy.

  • Communicate the importance of balanced state government.

Why I'm Running for State Senator SD42

Minnesota needs a cultural shift in our state government.

Less political activism, more governance.

Less virtue signaling, more critical thinking.
